The variety of contemporary forms, techniques, and subject-matter in art is indeed bewildering. The conventional medium (stone) and process of form creation always fascinate me for the reason it demands involvement of both physical and psychological – technique and thought process. Working on this I had a thought of environment around my studio where I spend most of my time looking around. It is very curious to see varieties of birds in various seasons. The bird (by the way, is yet very incompletely developed), the organic mass no long appears in direct identity with the producing agent, but it emerges however not completely out of coherence with that agent. Further, in various cultures, there are number of metaphors associated with bird which may more rhetoric and speak through images make itself more vivid. Here one may notice the transformation of solidity into the visually delicate object. This work is an attempt to explore possibilities of representation where I chose to place form of a bird to exhibit its affiliation with nature
