ABOUT

Born in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala and a fertile ground for cultural and political Activities. the city is one of the reasons behind me entering to the art world and also a strong impact of commercial art practice of my father as a realistic painter during my younger ages pushed me more into the art world while in 12th grade, I got a chance to visit the first Kochi Muziris biennale which eventually brought me into the fine arts college. I have polished my skillsets to a more refined and multidimensional way through three dimensional forms so I specialized in sculpture department during my Bachelors in Raja Ravi Varma college of fine arts Mavelikkara. At this period several national camps and workshops helped me to attain a good understanding in handling of various mediums. After that I did my masters in sculpture from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda Gujarat during this time period I have done internships on traditional chola bronze casting, traditional Thanjavur doll making and also in the process of making wood carving of elephant in south India, that further empowered my knowledge and understanding towards my researches. Also, a dissertation based on visual metaphors were also done which strengthened my concepts related to art my practice. Currently I am practicing art as a studio practitioner in Baroda Gujarat.
