Tanay Chakraborty is a visual art practitioner and freelance artist from Kharagpur, West Bengal in India. He has completed his M.F.A. in Modelling and Sculpture from Government College of Art & Craft, Calcutta, in 2020 and has also completed his B.F.A. in Modelling and Sculpture from Government College of Art & Craft in Calcutta in 2018, He received the Geeta Das Memorial scholarship at the GCAC Annual Exhibition in 2016 and a Rekha Paul scholarship, among other achievements. Have also participated in various events and exhibitions including the National Wood carving Camp in Agartala in 2023, and conducted workshops at the Kharagpur Academy of Fine Art from 2014 to 2018. He has participated in several group exhibitions, including a show at Gaganendra Chitra Pradarsha Shala and a group show with Monmarte at Academy of Fine Art, kolkata. The artist has worked as an assistant artist for one year with Vibha Galhotra and is currently living and working in Delhi.
