I consider sculpture as an object that could exist for it’s alone, it has a character of complete thing about one could walk and which one could look at from all sides. That is the reason I often see sculpture as a temple or an architectural construction. Enquiry in this area which was intuitive or spontaneous was got substituted with conscious observation of images which I visited, revisited several times.

The experience of space in any good architectural construction or in nature is the source of my creativity. My vocabulary is rooted in forms which are derived from many such experiences. And my recent sculptures are outcome of the synthesis of construction and nature of forms. In my practice I try to amalgamate these two elements to build a language which helps me to recreate those memories and experiences. From last two years my work has centred around two major aspects of sculpture i.e. monumentality of forms and nature of space.
