Kavya Oza

Artist's Biography

Kavya Oza is a visual artist based in Baroda, India. She holds a Master’s degree in Printmaking and a Bachelor’s in Painting from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (2018). During her formative years, she assisted renowned artist Jyoti Bhatt, an experience that deeply influenced her practice, leading her to explore the intersection of imagery and photography. Kavya has participated in numerous workshops and has exhibited her work in prominent group exhibitions, including Cultivate Art, Mumbai Art Room, India Art Fair, National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), and the Macau Printmaking Triennale. She has been an artist-in-residence at Space 118, Mumbai, and has previously worked as an artist mentor at Vadodara Visual Art Centre and as a programme coordinator at Space Studio. Currently, Kavya is the co-founder of Shoppism, a concept space in Baroda, and is associated with Six Sargent House and the Bombay Institute for Critical Analysis and Research (BICAR) in Mumbai. Her work continues to evolve through collaborative, interdisciplinary, and research-driven approaches.
