Yogesh Ramakrishna

Artist's Biography

Yogesh Ramkrishna (born in 1991) is a contemporary artist based in Pune (Maharashtra). Postgraduate in Printmaking from M.S. University of Baroda (2016). He developed a multidisciplinary art practice, where he investigates the present post-truth Indian society and political governance through the means of theater, cultural traditions, and satire with dark humor. Along with his solo exhibit, “Ultabansi” in 2025 at Gallery Latitude28, New Delhi, Yogesh has actively participated in events such as “India Art Fair” and “Delhi Contemporary Art Week” with Gallery Latitude28, Delhi. He was also part of various curated shows like “When is Empathy too much?” and “Cartography of Narratives”, “Intagelo”,“Babur Ki Gai”, are a few of them. His works were exhibited in a printmaking exhibition by Magelo Printmaking Studio, Australia. His works were exhibited at the Serendipity Arts Festival under the title “Call to disorder,” curated by Vidya Shivadas at Panjim, Goa. He was represented by the studio Vis-aa-Vis in group shows at Ahmedabad and Kochi, and was also part of the Vis-a-Vis long-term studio resident program form 2019-20. Yogesh has also been part of various art residencies like “Black Church Print Studio” Residency with (IMMA) in Dublin, Ireland. “Kooshk” India-Iran Cultural exchange residency, Tehran-Iran. He also received several art grants and scholarships, like the “Young Artist Support Grant” by National Photography Museum and 1shantiroad, Bangaluru. “Travel Grant” by Lalit Kala Akademy, Delhi. “Young artists scholarship” in the field of Graphics, by the Ministry of Culture, New Delhi. At present, Yogesh works as a full-time practicing artist from his studio “Rangaresha” in Pune, Maharashtra.
